01 Jun WE ARE MD SWIMMING – WE CAN GET THIS DONE!
June 23rd is fast approaching..
By June 23rd – all of your 18 & older athletes must have completed APT – or they cannot swim in a meet – they will now come up on any USA meet recon as ineligible to swim until APT is completed.
By June 23rd – all of a team’s coaches must have signed off on the MAAPP policy document – and their signed copy sent to firstname.lastname@example.org – or the coach will not show up on the pool access list sent to all meet directors – A Club form is accepted for multiple sign-offs – the form must state that it is an acknowledgement of having read MAAPP and the electronic communication policies.
By June 23rd – legal guardians of all of a team’s athletes must have signed copies of the MAAPP policy (hard copy or electronic copy is accepted) on file with the team.
By June 23rd – all non-registered meet personnel – timers, computer operators, vendors, safety marshals, table workers, awards people…etc…. must have signed off on MAAPP and the form must be on file with their own club. All registered meet staff (Meet Director, Meet Safety Director, Meet Entries Director, Officials) will have already taken APT/Safe Sport to register.
These requirements, and the timeline, are mandated by the US Congress, USA Safe Sport and USA Swimming – every club and every LSC is subject to a compliance audit at any time – we have no options. Non compliance may result in loss of a club’s charter.
Thanks to everyone for your help in getting this done.
